NIEH makes efforts in order to achieve that

• the attitude of prevention, i.e. the avoidance of diseases of environmental origin, gets incorporated into national development programs and sectorial policies;
• inequalities in health stemming from environmental factors are mitigated;
• vulnerable population groups are paid specific attention in safety programs (water safety, environmental safety);
• health policy principles are enforced by means of providing technical instructions to the environmental health surveillance system; and
• choosing and developing healthy community and residential environments become general.
